Strykerlabs Success Story

After the departure of the successful coaching team led by Christian Ilzer – known for its high-intensity and physical style of play – SK Sturm Graz faced a major challenge in the middle of the 2024/25 Champions League season. To preserve and further develop its established performance culture, the club decided to enter into a close partnership with Strykerlabs.

The goal was to maintain existing structures, optimize processes, and strengthen performance sustainably across all levels. The collaboration began with the professional team, where key processes in load management, performance analysis, and medical documentation were modernized. The success quickly led to an expansion of the partnership to include Sturm II and the academy.

In the 2024/25 season, the club achieved its ambitious goals – defending the Austrian Bundesliga title and delivering a strong performance in the Champions League.

Michael Parensen, Managing Director of Sport, on the cooperation:
“The extension of our partnership with Strykerlabs enables us to implement our playing philosophy even more consistently in the women’s department as well as in our academy teams in Graz and Burgenland. Our goal is to support our talents in all areas in the best possible way and to promote their development sustainably.”

Today, SK Sturm Graz uses Strykerlabs solutions in several key areas:

  • Performance analysis & training management
  • Training planning
  • Medical documentation
  • Organization & digitalization of the scouting process

Since summer 2025, the Burgenland Academy and the SK Sturm women’s team have also been working with our solutions.

Together with Strykerlabs, Sturm Graz ensures sporting continuity at the highest level.
