Personal data

Personal data refers to information about natural persons whose identity is determined or at least determinable (e.g., name, date of birth, address, email or IP address). You can visit our website without providing any personal information. However, we may process the following data with your visit and use of our website:

  • Usage data (e.g., visited web pages, interests in content, access times, GeoTags, etc.)
  • Meta/communication data (e.g., device information, IP addresses in anonymous form, etc.)
  • an anonymous cookie ID that does not allow conclusions to be drawn about the IP address

1. Purpose of data processing

We will process your personal data mentioned in point 2 for the purpose of providing our services and fulfilling related legal and contractual obligations. We collect this data from you when you request a quote or visit our website (see point 7) and through cookies (see point 7.a). The provision of your data is always voluntary.

2. Categories of data processed and legal basis for processing

Strykerlabs stores and processes the personal data provided by interested parties and customers for the purpose of preparing offers and processing orders as well as fulfilling related contractual and legal obligations (in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit f EU General Data Protection Regulation). In order to fulfill legal obligations, the data may also be forwarded to authorities and public bodies.

3. Transmission of your personal data

Yes, if this third country has been confirmed by the European Commission to have an adequate level of data protection or if other suitable data protection guarantees are in place (such as binding corporate rules or EU standard data protection clauses, only with a documented case-by-case examination of the adequacy of the level of protection).

With your explicit consent, the data may be transferred to a third country (Art. 49 para. 1 lit a GDPR). Hereby, we inform you about possible risks in the event of intended data transfer and the absence of suitable data protection guarantees (Point 4.1). On our website, we use various cookies and similar technologies (hereinafter referred to as “cookies”), which may also process personal data by us and third parties. These third parties include Google LLC (exact list see under Cookies from US providers), which are based in the USA and process data there. The European Court of Justice has not certified an adequate level of data protection in the USA. There is a particular risk that your data may be accessed by US authorities for monitoring and surveillance purposes without effective legal remedies available against it. Before we set cookies and transfer your data to these companies, we ask for your explicit consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit a GDPR in conjunction with Art. 49 para. 1 lit a GDPR) and provide you with detailed information on the relevant data processing (in particular, purposes, data categories and storage periods). You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by adjusting your preferences under “Cookie Settings” on our website. In addition, we would like to point out that we are working intensively to implement (additional) suitable guarantees in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR as an alternative legal basis for these data transfers.

Your personal data will only be stored by us for as long as it is reasonably necessary to achieve the purposes mentioned in point 1 and as permitted by applicable law. We will in any case store your personal data as long as legal retention obligations exist or potential legal claims have not expired yet.

The data secrecy applies to personal data. The data must be treated confidentially and must be protected by appropriated organisational and technical measures against unauthorised access, unlawful manipulation or disclosure, as well as against loss and destruction

6. Your rights in connection with personal data

Under applicable law, you (subject to applicable legal requirements) are entitled to verify whether and what personal data is stored about you, to receive copies of your data, to request correction, completion or deletion of your personal data that is incorrect or has not been processed in compliance with legal requirements, as well as to restrict the processing of your personal data. You may also object to the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances, or revoke the consent previously given for processing, request data portability, know the identity of third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred, and file a complaint with the competent authority.

7. Website & Cookies

When you visit our website, information is automatically stored on the web server. This includes the browser used, the operating system used, which page brought you to our website, the IP address, the time of access, and other information. From Strykerlabs’ perspective, this data is pseudonymized and cannot be assigned to specific individuals without further data sources. Strykerlabs does not analyze this data as long as there is no unlawful use of the website.

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any damage. Most of the cookies on this website are so-called session cookies. They are automatically deleted when you leave our website. However, permanent cookies remain on your computer until you manually delete them in your browser. We use such permanent cookies to recognize you when you visit our website again.

8. Newsletter

We use the information you provided during the newsletter registration process (name and email address) to keep you informed on a regular basis about company news and current offers. If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, you can object to this at any time. To do so, you can use the unsubscribe link included in every email.

9. Social Media

For marketing purposes and as communication channels, Strykerlabs uses the following social networks and operates profiles there:

On our website, you will find corresponding links that lead you directly to the respective Strykerlabs profiles. These links can be identified by the respective logos and are only activated by clicking on them. The mere visit to the Strykerlabs website does not result in any data being transmitted.

10. Privacy policy for Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, which are text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of your use of the website. We process your data based on our predominant legitimate interest in creating an easy-to-use website access statistics in a cost-effective manner (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f of the General Data Protection Regulation).

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address and the URLs of the accessed web pages) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. We do not store any of your data collected in connection with Google Analytics.

The website uses the IP anonymization feature provided by Google Analytics. Your IP address is therefore truncated/anonymized by Google as soon as Google receives your IP address. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide us with other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
